hi do we need to use both enable secret and enable password for same switch?

Not necessarily.

The command enable password shows you the password entered in plain text when you check the settings (show running-config).

The enable secret command shows you the encrypted password, which makes it safer.

The interesting detail is that if you enter both commands, the password that the device will request when you log in will be entered with the command enable secret.

Therefore, in reality, it would only be necessary to enter the enable secret command
