Does 16.10.1 release for C9300-48UXM support smart licensing?

Does 16.6.5 release for C9300-48UXM support smart licensing?

According to this document https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9300/software/release/16-9/release_notes/ol-16-9-9300.html#id_79702 the smart licensing is supported from 16.9.1. Even though it appears that 16.6.5 is older version, it was released in December-2018 compared to 16.9.1 which was published in July. Does that necessarily mean that the Smart licensing feature is enabled on 16.6.5?

I think Cisco integrated Smart licensing in Fuji (16.9.1) and not in 16.6.5 which is Everest. Don't' have 16.5.5 to test it.

Smart Licensing starts at 16.8.X.

Opened a Cisco TAC case, they said this:

++ Licenses will be managed as smart licenses from Cisco IOS XE Fuji 16.9.1 and later. Right-To-Use Licenses will be deprecated from Cisco IOS XE Fuji 16.9.1.
