Does LACP considers the interlink in VSS?

Suppose you have two switches called SW1 and SW2 connected via LACP to a 6880 VSS core, each switch using two physical cables (A and B), to either chassi in a 6880 VSS. A TCP stream is coming from Sw1 in cable A to 6880 switch 1 and should be directed out to SW2. When the 6880 calculates the exit interface in the portchannel, does it consider NOT using the interlink between the chassis (this might be an unnessecary hop)?

Re: Does LACP considers the interlink in VSS?

My understanding of VSS forwarding is the chassis will always try to forward it locally if possible so it would only use the interconnect in your example if the direct connection to SW2 had failed.
