Hi, all
I'm struggling with an issue that I can't figure out
I have a 6500E that keeps booting into Rommon if we use new IOS version, even though it has a valid image file on the sup-bootdisk and disk0:, and the config register is 0x2102.
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(17r)SX7, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
current and working IOS version:
s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI6.bin
doesnot working version:
s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI9.bin
s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ4.bin
here is the error message from console:

Hi Dahua,
Did you try to boot using "boot disk0:s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ4.bin" command?
Also, did you verify the image checksum and was the disk0 formatted under the same platform? Sometimes there are issues due to flash being formatted under different platform.
I suggest the following steps:
1. try with "boot disk0:s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ4.bin" from ROMMON.
2. to "verify" in IOS prompt for the new image to confirm checksum with the CCO.
3. format disk0 on the same router, copy images again on flash and try to boot from there. do change boot string appropritately and use "boot system flash disk0:s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ4.bin".
Kind Regards,
Ivan Shirshin
