E1's supported on Cisco 3825/3845

Hi,

Anybody knows about a Cisco document with recommendations about the quantity of E1's supported on Cisco 3825 and 3845?

With no voice, only data.

Besides, do you know how many E1's can be used in balanced mode inside a Cisco 3825/3845 router?

Thanks in advance.

Oscar

HI Oscar,

Refer to the attached doc, table 6, page 14.

It talks about the maximum number of E1's on 3825 and 3845 from physical connectivity point. The nos are - 16 adn 24 respectively.

I guess you are looking for a practical recommendation wihch I was not able to find a document for. But ideally I prefer no more than 10 E1's on these routers.

The number of E1's for balanced or unbalanced mode should not differ, since as far as I know that's just the mode of termination and should be no way associated with the performance.
