EEM/tcl : Summary LAN IP Traffic Statistics

Hi all,

I would like to have a daily email sent to me from a customer's Cisco router that has a summary of all my LAN devices and how much traffic in bytes they have sent and received within a 24 hour period.

The desired information is the following:

LAN IP               BYTES RX     BYTES TX

192.168.1.100     XXXX               XXXX

192.168.1.101     XXXX               XXXX

192.168.1.102     XXXX               XXXX

...

in a NAT'ed environment.

Is this possible via EEM/tcl scripts running on the customer's Cisco router?

Cheers

Vasko

Hi Vasko,

Are you trying to collect data from multiple devices or just looking at interface statistics? What mechanism are you looking to use (ip accounting, interface stats, netflow, etc)?

My thought with a NAT overload environment is that you may end up receiving multiple e-mails (at least one per NAT zone, unless you use something on the SMTP server side to analyze and aggregate data).
