Hi Rc,

Make sure to follow the config guide (below) to deploy eFSU for your VSS system.  It works really well if you follow it step by step.  You should not have down time.  Just one thing to remember that eFSU works well when you are upgrading from a major release to another major release and not a minor to major.

Good luck.

Hi RC,

By minor to major, I mean if you are going for example from SXI2a SXI3 is does not work, but if you are going from SXI1 to SXI3 it or SXI2 to SXI3 it works fine. Since you are running SXI, I recommend going to SXI3 (latest version on CCO). and not SXI2a, because there a few bug fixes in SXI3 and seems to a good image. BTW, do not use SXI2 at all as it is a differed version.

Hi Reza,

Is the config right with regards to performing EFSU

Hi RJ,

You need to copy the IOS into sup-bootdisk (primary VSS) and slavesup-bootdisk (backup VSS) and not into the boot flash, because the boot flash is only 64Mb by default and the IOS is 155Mb, so it will not fit into the boot flash.

Good Luck

Reza
