EIGRP generating /24 connected

Hi All

I have a strange issue with a nexus 7700.. SUP 2E with 7.2 code.. we have eigrp running on this switch. topology is something like this:

vlan 8 (10.10.88.0/22)  ---> 6500 (SVI defined here) --> L2 ---> N7700 (SVI defined but shutdown)

We are basically in a migration process to move all SVI's from 6500 and N7700.. Hence the configuration is replicated between 6500 & 7700, but all the VLAN SVIs are shutdown.

Now.. when i look at "show ip route" on N7700, it points me to 6500 on interlink. this is good. but N7700 generates a /24 for 10.10.88.0/24 in its topology table, which is sent to all other N7K's in the EIGRP domain (showing that it is a directly connected route).. It also generates another  All EIGRP configs are standard on the N7700..

N7K1#sh ip eigrp topology all-links | include 10.10.88

P 10.10.88.0/22, 1 successors, FD is 3072, serno 2319
P 10.10.88.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 2816, serno 910

Any idea why it is generating this /24 route into the topology table ? Is it a IOS bug ?

Regards

Raj

Solved it.. it looks like a bug in N7K, but not documented.

We removed the SVI, and reconfigured it, and it took the /24 route from topology table..

Crazy.. it looks good now.. Closing this discussion.
