   - Not possible , putty is used for accessing the switches only , either through SSH or serial connection ,

-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

@marce1000 tell me the process from both  through SSH or serial connection

@marce1000 I am asking procedure thorough ssh or serial connection as mentioned by you

Hello,

what exactly are you trying to accomplish ? Are you trying to use Putty as an email recipient as described in the document linked below (in combination with an EEM script) ?

@Georg Pauwen I would like to set up email notification for Cisco switch ,for which I need help

Hello,

understood. I am not really clear on how and why you want to involve Putty ? The usual way of setting up email notifications (sourced from the switch) would be to configure EEM (as described in the example below)...

@Georg Pauwen ,it seems you have given procedure for router ,I am asking to set email notification for Cisco switch

Hello,

the procedure is generic and should work on switches as well. Did you try to configure the script on the switch ?
