Enable store and forward on Cisco Switch

Hi all,

Got bad link and need to enable a switch for store and forward on all interfaces. I am using a Cat 2950 using IOS 12.1what do I need to do to get this working. I know the command syntex "switching-mode store-and-forward" every time I use the command I get %unrecognised.

  As far as I know there is nothing you need to configure for this , that is what the switch uses

as its switching method and is not configurable .

All Catalyst switches use store and forward except the Nexus switches, as  switch  buffers and, typically, performs a checksum on each frame before forwarding it on to ports.

Would changing from cut-through switching to store-and-forwarding cause downtime if in live production?
