I have SSO enabled on my 6509E, but I'm not sure if NSF is enabled.
Maybe I am a little confuse to understand what is NSF helper and NSF aware that my switch displays, as follows:
switch#sh ip ospf nsf
Routing Process "ospf 1"
IETF NSF helper support enabled
Cisco NSF helper support enabled
switch#sh ip prot
*** IP Routing is NSF aware ***
Someone can provide some help?
Thanks,
guruiz

NSF-aware if it is running NSF-compatible software. A device is said to be NSF-capable if it has been configured to support NSF; therefore, it would rebuild routing information from NSF-aware or NSF-capable neighbors.

You enable NSF in the routing protocol, if supported.
For example:
router ospf 100
nsf

thanks Reza, thanks Joseph,
Your answers are so kind and helpful.
I only have a doubt about NSF helper, do you know what is this?, due it is enabled before I configure NSF under OSPF.
switch#sh ip ospf nsf

due it is enabled before I configure NSF
You don't need to
All you have to do enable NSF under OSPF on all the routers that are NSF aware.
