enhanced PAgP and fast-hello for VSS configuration

I will be setting up two 6824's, in VSS mode. Do I need both enhanced PAgP, and fast-hello do they work together. Is one method preferred over the other ?

You just need one of them.  Fast-hello is easier to config and understand. I just moved a set of VSS from PAgP to fast-hello.

Reza, does PAgP doing anything by itself without a trust on the port-channel ?

No, you would need the trust command 

dual-active detection pagp trust channel-group xx
