hi!

we plan to deploy Wireless AP 1140 on both 2.4G and 5G HZ frequencies (no power injector). I was told POE Plus is needed but I noticed

WS-X6548-GE-45AF supports ePOE

1. is ePOE same as POE plus?

2. IS 8700W AC PS enough?

thanks

Not sure what POE Plus is but ePoe or Enhanced POE on the 6500 allow the delivery of > 15W to each port. Actually it can deliver between 15.4W and 20W to each port. Have a look at this link for more details -

I would have thought that the 8700W power supplies would certainly be enough but if you have a CCO login you can use the Cisco power calculator to check this sort of thing -
