Error message from switch ??

Hi everyone,

I'm getting the Error message from switch WS-C2950G-24-EI

software ver 12.1(22)EA8

ERROR in strata_protected_notify:line987: can't get remote inst pointer

Any one know or have any ideas about this message?

It seems to be related to protected ports and port channels. Temporary solution is remove FEC config and reload the switch.

how do i identify which one is protected ports & port channels..?

that is a hardware issue, you need to replce the switch, if you have warranty or Smarnet, use it.
