Errors trying to change boot on Nexus after downloading new kickstart and NX-OS

So upon changing the kick start and NX-OS that I uploaded to a Nexus 3548X, I receive the following:

Failed to configure bootvar system for sup-1: mismatch between actual
image type and boot variable (0x4045001E)

Upon change the NX-OS I uploaded I receive: Performing image verification and compatibility check, please wait....
Note: system and kickstart bootvars are pointing to incompatible images

The current Kickstart and image running are the A7 and these are just A8. Anyone know what the problem is?

Hi,

what is the current version of NX-OS ?

which version are you trying to upgrade ?

did you check what is the suggested version for your switch in the cisco software download portal ?

Below is the procedures to upgrade nexus 3K switches

- Download the compatible system and kick start images for your switch

Verify that the switch has enough space for the new image

- Copy new system and kick start images using flash drive or TFTP/FTP

- Verify the kickstart image using below commands

 - #show install all impact kickstart bootflash:kickstart.bin

- install new images using below mentioned command

install all kickstart bootflash:n3000-uk9-kickstart.6.0.2.U6.4.bin system bootflash:n3000-uk9.6.0.2.U6.4.bin.

above image names are just an example from the upgrade document, you can follow the same guide to upgrade.

Let's know how it goes

Thanks
