I was working on a lab configuring an EtherChannel interface and I was looking at the hardware address for the EtherChannel by typing "show interface port-channel 1". I was wondering how a hardware address is created for a port-channel?

I found the answer. The port-channel takes the hardware address of the first port that comes up.
