Etherchannel and Spanning tree

I am using bundling 4 switchport to connect a 4507 to a 3750 for layer2 connectivity.

int g1/0/1 - 4

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
channel-group 1 mode on

Should I configure spanning-tree on these ports or the port-channel interface?

If so, what spanning-tree should I use?

Hello Thom,

STP handles a bundle as a single link so if you need to tune STP configuration you can do it in port-channel interface mode

you don't need to change STP mode only for this reason.
