Hi,
I m trying to configure trunk ports between my L2 switches in etherchannel configuration
I have tried to use them in desirable and in auto mode
Considering the attached network diagram , the top most switch is NTP server rest all are its clients , Router is configured with subinterfaces
Now when i try to ping from the desktop keeping port channel as desirable i get replies sometimes but very high latency
in auto mode i dont get replies at all

Interface range fa 0/1-2
swithport mode trunk
channel-group 2 mode desirable
what m i missing ?
wht is the significane of group name in these ??
