Exalink / Nexus 3550 Fusion Mux/HPT - Password Recovery

Hi

I have been researching on this for a long time now, however haven't been able to find anything online that could help me get into the switch.

I am looking for ways to do password recovery or just do a factory reset of the switch(without logging in).

Nexus 3550(formerly Exalink) Fusion Mux

Thanks,

Nishant

Nexus 3550 switches don't run NX-OS..... yet!

They just carry Cisco's name, not their software.

             - What are they running ?

Well.. the OS from Exalink, the company they acquired.

Hello,

tough one, I could not find much either. Apparently, there is a default user and password (admin/admin), but I guess the password has probably been changed.

I guess you have already found the link below:

https://exablaze.com/docs/fusion/

They mention a way to access the 3550 through Vivado (which according to the documentation, has no auhentication), maybe you can get in that way...

Thanks for your reply.

This looks like a way to load a custom firmware to the FPGA inside the switch. Still doesn't talk about resetting/erasing the device's password/config.
