Uhg.  I deployed a 3560G a week ago and it was crashing... so I replaced it Sep 7 around 16:00 and now this one is crashing.  Different logs.

Sep  9 18:14:38: %PLATFORM-1-CRASHED: Debug Exception (Could be NULL pointer dereference) Exception (0x2000)!

More detailed syslogs are in the attaced 'crash-logs.txt' file.

The device is running OSPF (it is in an NSSA).  I have several other devices configured almost the same running the same IOS in my network and they are working fine.

This does make the third out-of-box 3560C Cisco that has failed on me within a few days.

Any tips on this issue?

In case anyone says try upgrading to 15.0, I am updating to c3560c405ex-universalk9-tar.150-2.SE.tar right now.

I've achieved a record 1.5 days uptime and counting!  The solution was to upgrade to 15.0(2).

Apparently, there is a bug in 12.2(55)EX2 and EX3 that makes devices crash.  I don't know if you need to be running OSPF to make a 3560CG crash, but that may be it.

Thus far, I haven't been real happy with Cisco's suppor their Compact series.  The size is really handy for remote nodes, but the software issues have been a drag.  Is the 3560C just sub par gear?  What would be a recommended replacement?  In theory, the 3560CG is what I am looking for: small size, 10 gigabit ports, OSPF.

3 days uptime.  I do have a Tunnel device... perhaps that was crashing 3560C on 12.2(55) -- is the support for GRE more robust on 15.0?
