What would be the best way to find out if CISCO hardware that you have purchased was fake?

Purchase the SmartNet Contract, and you will come to know instantly. Secondly, always purchase Cisco Equipments ONLY from Cisco Partners ie Premier Partners, Silver Partners or Gold Partners.

The higher you go, the better prices and support you may get.
