fex server list

in nexus switch N5K, are we able to list the name of servers connect to fex? I have around five fex, but currently i can only display the N2K switch name attached to N5k.

show int description | i Eth101  , if your servers are named in description , theres no show fex commands specifically for it  but you can see which servers are attached to which fex that way as below

fex 101 port 10 server name too

Eth101/1/10   eth    1000    xircompserverAf1

no,, the description is not maintained in some of the interface description

no you cant do that no command for it , you need to match that list against show ip int brief I I up
