Hello,

Fixup is used to define protocols inspection. PIX firewall supports protocols inspections such as HTTP and SMTP where it inspects the packets and drops the connection in case it find some thing milicious.

so are these fixup commands all enabled by default ?

Yes they are enabled by default for well known applications such as FTP, http, H.323 etc... however, there are some fixups not enabled.
