Formating flash from Rommon mode>

Hi,

I recently upgraded my router memory to 32 MB, however it seems it doesnt take it.

Kindly help.....

rommon 8 > set IP_ADDRESS=192.168.2.38

usage: set

rommon 9 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.2.38

rommon 10 > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0

rommon 11 > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.2.1

rommon 12 > TFTP_SERVER=192.168.2.222

rommon 13 > TFTP_FILE=c2600-is-mz.123-26.bin

rommon 14 > tftpdnld

IP_ADDRESS: 192.168.2.38

IP_SUBNET_MASK: 255.255.255.0

DEFAULT_GATEWAY: 192.168.2.1

TFTP_SERVER: 192.168.2.222

TFTP_FILE: c2600-is-mz.123-26.bin

Invoke this command for disaster recovery only.

WARNING: all existing data in all partitions on flash will be lost!

I myself installed the memory (Flash), not sure if its correctly went in :(

rommon 3 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.2.38

rommon 4 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.2.211

You might have the wrong part number.

When we buy Flash, we have to check for PART number as well. I only checked for 2600 FLASH memory. How can i confirm that. Kindly help -

what was inside this router was -

SMART SMT 732C2000AS 12 PCF 199071523

where can i see ? Iam not sure

I tired loading the previous flash, its giving thsi error

as usual on this forum nothing gets resolved. 

 

My flash came with the router and its doing the error

Error, insufficient flash installed to load image.
