Hi Everybody,
I have a problem with my Cisco Catalyst 3560-24P-S. When i connect my cameras that use POE for power they didn't start, so I checked through ios and se that the power consumption is only 15.4W.
Anyone can help me understanding why?
Here some info's

Hi,
Try setting the power manually for that interface using this command
power inline static max 30000
And test again.

Hi Reza, thanks for reply,
i've tried to set manually the power and also to switch off all other network ports. The "show power inline" command tell me that the power is 30W BUT the camera didn't work. The camera works because I've tried in another cisco, same model.
I'm thinking of a hardware problem with poe, but if you have another suggestion i'm here!
Thanks
G.

Hi growl0001,
Hope you have found a resolution already but if not I m going to shoot from the hip a little here. 15.4 is the standard amount of power granted before a negotiation occurs and that seems to be what you are getting. Is your camera not a Cisco camera? In that case try adding "lldp run" to your config and I hope that will fix your problem.
If it does not, can you provide a show ip int br, a show cdp nei, and a show lldp nei?
Good luck,
David
