Hello,
We currently have the following Cisco Catalyst 4507 core switch:
cisco WS-C4507R (MPC8245) processor (revision 5) with 524288K bytes of memory.
MPC8245 CPU at 333Mhz, Supervisor IV
We are currently undergoing a process to have BGP implemented.
Our ISP mentioned that to have have both providers send two full tables, the recommended amount of memory is 1GB.
Does anyone know if our current hardware is able to be have a memory upgrade to the 1GB? And what is the cost?
Thanks.

Hi,
Have a look at table-2 in this link. The maximum memory for your Sup is 512MB.
Also, do you have to have the full BGP routing table? if not just have the service provider send you a default route. This way you don't have to upgrade your memory.
