Help Config step for

Hi All,

In my 6500 chessis one sub got crashed cisco recomanded the replacement now i have sup with me, Need help if some one give me steps for the repalcement would be great help.

We have the same module of the sub and same IOS versions runing in both the sup.

what steps i need to take to sync config from runing sub to new sup.

Hi,

If the new sup you are replacing is the stand-by one you can insert it into the chassis and it should sync with the primary.  If the sup you are replacing need to be the primary then once it is boot it you need to force the new sup to be the primary.  If you have an outage window and can turn off the switch, then do that and insert the new sup, then turn it on.  That should do it.
