Hello,
Our client have a Cisco C837 router (K903Y6-M) in version 12.4.
The router crash about 1 time per day. When it happens, the router doesn't respond anymore on each interface.
The ping doesn't work.
After a reboot, it works perfectelly. And after about one day, it crash again....sometimes the router doesn't respond for 5 minutes then he works again...
I have seen that it is often because of a high CPU or high Memory utilization but i have seen the processes and CPU and Memory are not on high utilization...
We have recently changed the configuration. So i imagine that the problem come of this but i don't see where is the error in the configuration.
Before, there are a lan connection on interface ethernet0 et internet connection on interface dialer0.
Now, there are a lan connection on ethernet0 and internet access is on interface ethernet2 wich is linked on a second routeur. This second routeur is linked to fiber line.
I put in attached file : old config, new config, cpu and memory utilization with new config and result of "sh log".
If someone can help me....
And can explain me what mean in logs : "1 messages dropped" and "1 messages rate-limited" and if the problem is here ?
Thanks !!

Hi.
As you are probably aware the 837 is End of support.
I think you are probably suffering a memory leak with your IOS version
Wih this old router the bet you can do is to
upgrade the IOS to last supported version
c837-k9o3y6-mz.124-25d.bin
You will need 64M Dram & 12M Flash
Regards
Alex
