Help Getting Started

Hello All,

I wasn't sure where to post this question, but we'll start here and see what happens.

I'm interested in furthering my knowledge of networking and Cisco equipment with the eventual goal of achieving a CCNA Routing and Switching Certification. I have experience in small-business networking and some limited experience with Cisco PIX and router configuration. That is to say I have a PIX firewall and a 2811 router in my production environment that I was able to configure myself to suite my needs.

I was thinking of purchasing one of these packaged Cisco study labs you see on eBay and am wondering what the experts here would suggest for someone in my position. In addition to the equipment, I would also like a resource that I can use to help me learn on the equipment once I receive it.

Here is a link to the package I was considering....

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

The Kit looks fine to me.

Now you need to start and understand the concept of CCNA topics. Purchase the videos from INE/CBT/Cisco e-learning or you can start looking the topic wise on youtube its totally on you.

Cisco CCNA book from tomm lodle is the good one to go through as that covers almost all the concepts.
