help with packet tracer 5.2

I have a problem working with packet tracer the serial interface is down down , why ? I am trying to connect 2 routers, the one end has DCE attached and other is DTE.  What did I do wrong here is the display of the interface.

Have you done a ''no shut'' on both sides of the serial connection?
Is the cable connected to that interface?
Do a ''sh controllers'' to check which interface is the DCE so you can set the clock rate.

The interface shows as administratively down (you need to bring it up with no shut)

only 2 serial connection on this device,

this is not a physical thing it is packet tracer how do I tell if the dce is in the correct did a show run; show interface s 0/0/0

show controller output is attached show is the other side with the show interface and show controller on that one too.

The show controllers that you attached is the DCE, look at the line in the output:

DCE V.35, clock rate 64000

Have you tried ''no shut'' on both ends of the serial connection?

that did it the no shut on both sides worked thanks I must have spent hours trying to figure it out.
