Hi!
Need some expertise help here, one of our 6500 switch having hi CPU utilization when i do sh proc cpu.:

any expert in here can help me to interpret this table?
PID no 1 and 9 seems having high proces but I don't know what it means

Check if logging console is enabled. FYI, any command which produces large output will drive the CPU usage, maybe you took show tech prior to show proc cpu? Nevertheless, it should not affect the packet switching performance of the switch as it does most of the switching in hardware. Also, Kernel and Idle is a good thing it means "idle" not utilizing cpu.

Yes I taught that contribute to the problem, but after I've disable it, the output is still high, around 40 - 80+ % fluctuate and yes also I've done the sh tech prior to do the sh proc cpu, will try to reboot the sup, earlier one of the 8 ports GBIC 6408A was hang up, after we've reset the module it's seems ok now.

rebooted the sup .. system seems ok now...
