hig cpu on WS-X6716-10GE

Hi all,

For several days, high CPU utilization of the module WS-X6716-10GE is reported via the LMS 4.3. This module is located in a 6509 VSS switch with . I am wondering what can be issue...

in show process cpu I do not see proces which is causing this..

How many hosts are connected to this line card and what are they ? are you sure that they are not causing any heavy traffic (even for 10G) like some bulk database replication or something ?

Have you tried changing the slot to see if it still happens ?

1) Which mode are you using ? oversubscription or performance ?

2) Which SUP ?

3) IOS ?

How can I identify what is cusing this problem..  what is normal cpu and what not

It looks like modul is working in oversubscription-mode
