Recently we had some issue with High CPU on our 4507 that were tracked down to a hub plugged into 2 different VLANs. Looking at the show platform health command I had a question on one item.
What is K5ForerunnerPacketMa?
4700-CORE-4507-1#sh platform health
%CPU %CPU RunTimeMax Priority Average %CPU Total
Target Actual Target Actual Fg Bg 5Sec Min Hour CPU
K5ForerunnerPacketMa 1.50 20.07 4 0 100 500 15 18 15 682:39

Hi Richard,
Forerunner is an ASIC/component on the supervisor that manages data traffic to/from the CPU. Its usual to see this process high along with K5CpuMan Review when CPU utilisation is high due to interrupts
Thanks,
Madhu
