Hi

we got 3560 switch connected to 2960 switch

3560 (port fa 0/24)----------------fa0/24 (2960)

High traffic is noticed on all ports of 2960 switch, can somone help on how to identify the source and traffic type.

during downtime just plugged single pc on 2960 switch and still see high traffic.

How to capture traffic and see the source and traffic type

Best Wishes

Hi,

you can configure SPAN to redirect traffic to a probe or a network analyzer to see whats ur traffic.

IOS commands:

monitor session 1 source interface f0/1 - 23 (23 or your last port u need to monitor) both (both directions if your switch supports)

monitor session 1 destination interface f0/x (the port which you have ur analyzer / probe connected to)

plz Rate if it helped.

Soroush.

Hope it Helps!
