Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 17.09.04a
Cisco IOS Software [Cupertino], Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT9K_IOSXE), Version 17.9.4a,
I noticed that the management interface o goes down without any action or wiring problem.
I have C9300 devices show the following logs :
*Aug 27 07:48:06.957: %HMANRP-6-EMP_NO_ELECTION_INFO: Could not elect active EMP switch, setting emp active switch to 0: EMP_RELAY: Could not elect switch with mgmt port UP
*Aug 27 07:48:09.646: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet0/0, changed state to down

I can't find anything in Known Fixed Releases

Hello @romualdGE ,
in the bug provided by @marce1000 that may apply to your device the suggested workarounds are:
a) to shut the interface
b) to issue the no ip address dhcp on the management interface in your case gi0/0
is your gi0/0 configured with ip address dhcp or it has a static IP address ?

Hello Giuseppe,
we do not use DHCP (only static) and Gi0/0 must be activated as we use out-band management solution.
