Hey folks,
I've been refreshing my home LAN and my home lab (I work for an NDR vendor) and I'm looking to get some 10Gbe functionality internally. Specifically my Proxmox server and my Unraid server both have 10Gbe addon NICs which are currently just connected with a single Cat6 cable.
My lab switch is currently a WS-C2960G-24TC-L which I got off ebay a few years ago and has worked fine for me - it has enough ports, allows me to trunk to the Proxmox if I care to and supports SPAN so I can monitor my traffic. However it has no 10Gbe support - even the uplinks are 1Gb.
I'm looking for something similar, a cheap switch with 24 ports running 10/100/1000 with 2-4 ports supporting 10Gbe RJ-45 connections, that supports SPAN and I can manage with a web interface or Cisco Network Assistant (or whatever it's modern replacement is).
Any advice gratefully received.
