Hi All,
I have a site where I have a multiple CCTV cameras connected to client network. My client provided the network infrastructure, the electrical supplies.
The site is immense and consists of 184 cameras.
The switches are Cisco 2960 S series Catalyst. My cameras are SONY, POE.
I am experiencing missing bits of recordings (3 s to 17 s) on my CCTV system. Client says switches are OK.
I doubt that there might be disturbances in the form of harmonics on the power line.
I would like to know if its a known factor that Harmonics can affect behavior of network switches and connected POE equipments.
