how download cisco Device IOS

hi all

sorry about this simple question

this is a my first time for i want to download IOS to upgrade My Switches (2950 , 2960 , 3550 , 3750)

so i try too much but i can't download anything

should i pay money for downloading CISCO switch IOS?

if not how i can download it....

i select my product and that's type but in download page don't work :(

please help me!!!

You normally need a maintenance contract with cisco directly or a local provider, to entitle you to IOS downloads.  That provider can then "entitle" your cisco account to do downloads.

Hello,

In order to download images from Cisco website you need the following:

1- Have a valid Cisco ID.

2- Have a Smart net contract on that equipment associated to your Cisco ID.

3- Log in to Cisco Website, search for your equipment model, and download the image.

4- Use TFTP to copy the image to the Cisco Equipment.

5- Use the boot system command to change the boot sequence

6- Reload the equipment.

7- use a show version to check if you have the new image.

Note: Doing a backup is always good practice, using a second boot image is also recommended.
