How to check for APP license on Cisco 1921

I have a Cisco 1921 and would like to use NBAR2 to classify and filter out file sharing protocols that can use different port numbers and conceal themselves. I'd like to get some guidance on what I need to purchase for my existing Cisco 1921 to make it work. My current Cisco 1921 router only has a security license.

This link says you need a "DATA" license to use NBAR2:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/wan-routing-and-switching/licence-for-nbar-2/td-p/2056674

It looks like the "DATA" license was replaced by the "APP" license in 2014:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/1900-series-integrated-services-routers-isr/eos-eol-notice-c51-730945.html

This link says you need an "AVC" license to use NBAR2:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/medianet/nbar2-avc-license/td-p/2638923

(what the heck is an "AVC" license?)

This link says you need an "AX / DATA" license to use NBAR2:

http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/NBAR2:PPFAQ#Q..09_Which_license_do_NBAR_users_require_to_load_protocol_packs.3F

--> Does that mean that you need an AX and a DATA license to use NBAR2?

According to my show version, I only see "ipbase, security, data, NtwkEss" licenses:

Technology Package License Information for Module:'c1900'

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Technology    Technology-package                  Technology-package

              Current              Type           Next reboot

------------------------------------------------------------------------

ipbase        ipbasek9             Permanent      ipbasek9

security      securityk9           Permanent      securityk9

data          None                 None           None

NtwkEss       None                 None           None

Configuration register is 0x2102

From the links above, it sounds like I need to buy the e-PAK license SL-19-APP-K9 and install it onto the router, or maybe I can buy a Cisco 1921 router from eBay with one already installed on it?

If the APP license includes the DATA license, how can I tell if the APP package has been installed on the Cisco 1921 router? The "show ver" on my router only includes an entry for "data", and not for "app" (see above output). I'm thinking that it might be cheaper to buy one from eBay that already has the APP license installed, rather than just purchase the license separately for the existing router.

FYI, I really hate Cisco's license model they've been using for several years now. If I purchase the APP license, is it a perpetual use license (can be used indefiintely)?
