Though it does point out that this is not supported in IOS - only CATOS.

As said this is currently supported on Catos, if your devices are running Native IOS then this cannot be achieved as of now.

Thanks all for the clarification. but wondering why cisco is not implementing it in IOS,as it would be helpful to proactively monitor for any STP issues
