I am trying to copy the IOS image saved in USB drive to Nexus 7010 , anyone familiar with the process please? Do I need to format my USB to a specific file system first?

Yes needs to be FAT usb you can format it , FAT32 format works for me on my nx-os , then copy usb....... bootflash: to transfer the image
when the usb is recognized it will appear in logs and also in dir ? you will see the usb depending which slot you connected it as 7ks have multiple

As long as the USB stick is supported, it'll work.
If you have a Nexus 7K, then Cisco would include a 2 Gb USB stick free with every purchase of a Sup card.
A Samsung Bar also works beautifully (16 Gb).

i have usb formatted fat 32 but N7K cannot see the files inside the usb.
i tried with 3 USBs.
