how to deal with vlan size by using dynamic vlans on large access switches

Hello everybody,

we use access switches with about 350 user ports and dynamic VLAN assignment. In some areas it is possible that all clients should be assigned to the same VLAN on a single switch. But there is also an internal design guide, that only allows the maximum of 250 clients per VLAN.

That problem was solved by assigning a static VLAN to the clients on the switch, where they are normaly connected. But over time with the changes and moves in the network that is not manageable.

Does anyone have an idea to solve that, except expanding the VLAn to allow more clients?

thanks!°

Hello

What security mode do have configured on the vmps server and do you have a fallback vlan enabled?
