How to Find witch interface am i connected to using mac address or ip address in unmanageable switch by cmd ?

Hello ,

I have a network and its to messy , so i want to re build it
I dont know witch port is connected to witch device
is there any way to find it using ip address or mac address

i have a list of all device mac address & reserved ip address

Hello Zheer,

if the switch is unmanaged it does not provide a shell or GUI to see the MAC address table contents.

If this is the case, the only thing you can do is to remake all the cabling from stratch and noting in a table which cable you connect to which port.

If the switch is manageable it is just a question to get the correct credentials to access its GUI or shell and then you can issue commands to see what MAC address is out a port.

At that point you can configure interface description on each port with appropriate info to signal what end user device is connected to the port.
