How to get RxBoot mode on 2610XM?

I have 2610XM. I have configured register value to 0x101 for bext reload into RxBoot mode(Mini IOS), but it did'nt work on 2610XM, it work successfully on Cisco 2522, Why this, Is there any other register value for 2610XM to boot into RxBoot mode.

Please Help?

Try 0x2101... The newer 2600's use the 0x2XXX config register

No Dear 0x2101 is still not working.

Cisco 2610XM is still going into normal IOS on reload with this register.

Any Help Please?

Hi,

RxBoot mode is only supported on some routers, and 2600 routers don't contain a boot image by default, you can find further information about this following this link:

Somewhere in that guide you can read:

"The Cisco 2600 series router does not have a dedicated boothelper image ([rx]boot) as used by some other Cisco routers. With the Cisco 2600 series router, the first image in flash memory is invoked as the default boothelper image anytime the ROM monitor does not recognize the device ID in the boot command"

So this means your router will boot the IOS image on flash even if your config register is 0x2101
