Hello,
I have a user whose access to the LAN (and, more importantly, to the WAN) I need to be able to allow or deny as required. The user's IP address may vary so I would like to control access on the basis of his MAC address. He's likely to be connecting via an open wireless access point so I can't just block his LAN port.
How can I achieve this -- I'm happy to use a script if this router (RV016 -- or I could use an RV042) can handle it?
Many thanks,

Hi you could try this,I have never seen a time based mac acl but you can definitely do time based ipv4 acls , if hes getting a dhcp address off you and its changing set your dhcp server/router to bind a specific ip address to his mac through dhcp so he only gets the ip address you want to give him when he joins the network, then use a time based ipv4 acl if your router supports it and block him that way periodically

Which switches and/or routers do you have?
