How to use Private IP and Public IP in the unmanaged switch?

Hello Dears

I have topology and I need to use Private IP and Public IP in the switch but this switch is not managed and not configure it.

how to solve this see topology picture .... PC 1 is Private IP and PC 2 is Public IP

Hi Hogr,

Before I answer your question, I have a few queries. Are you trying this in GNS3? Do you have a valid public IP from the ISP to assign to PC2. How is the PC connected to the internet?

Please put PC2 and the the cloud connected interface in the switch in the same VLAN.

PC2 should have a default gateway pointing to a interface in your PC(a loopback adapter).

Yes I used GNS3... thanks for answer me ... no problem PC1 or PC 2 connected to ISP.

I cannot create VLAN in switch because is the simple switch not configured..

Right click on the switch and select configure option, then you will option to assign VLANs to specific switchports.
