HSRP: All interfaces tracked are down?

Hi All,

I need to know what will be the status of the standby IP in case the tracked interface on 2 routers is down?

will it still be availble (ping)?

The virtual IP will be available as long as one router in that group is up. Obviously, if all of the routers in the group are down, then it wouldn't be able to respond. Does that help?

Do u mean that if the 2 routers are up and the interfaces they are tracking are down, the virtual IP will still be UP, correct?

If you're tracking on the serial sides and both of the internals are still up, your virtual address should still respond but not be able to pass traffic outbound.
