Hi,
In HSRP configuration follwoing commands are configured in priority reference.
standby 1 priority 150
standby 1 track serial 0/0
standby 1 preempt
No decrement value is put in tracking command, what is the default value by which router will decrement the priority of the group.
Please share the experience any corresponding link on cisco.com.
Thanks in advance.

I believe the decrement value by default is 10, so if prob to best to leave it as it is as your priority of 150 is high enough, default priority is 100
cheers

Hello Bapat,
Carl is right default decrement is 10 so the priority is lowered to 140 when the serial0/0 fails.
This can be not enough to have the other router to take over.
see

Hope to help
