Hi all, im im implementing hsrp and I have 2 subnets that need to use it am I best using 2 groups here and have both routers active, 1 in 1 group the other in group 2 ? and do I have to use multiple groups for that ?

Yes, Carl you have to use MHSRP. Using multiple groups you will be able to configure one group subnet active on one router and the other as standby and the same vice versa.

Hi ,

you can do it with single group and make router A active for one subnetA and router B standby for the same sbnet.

Similarly for subnet B you can make router B active and router A standby by using priority statment.
