i can't enable interface on the switch 2950

i have switch 2950.

when i want enable fastinterface on this switch i saw this message.

switch#configuer t

switch(config)#interface fastinterface 0/1

switch(config-fa)#no shutdown

fa 0/1 can't be brought up becouse it failed post loopback test.

please help me.thanks

It indicates the interface is damage, due to it the POST wasn't passed. You must create a RMA.

  Thats a hardware  issue and can't be fixed short of replacing the switch...
